Cotton cloth made for India, China and South America, plain weave with a wide crammed border. Made 72 ends and 80 picks per inch, 34's warp, 32's weft. Usually 49-in. wide. Another style is woven in a 5-shaft sateen weave, about 96 ends and 108 picks per in., 50's warp, 60's weft. The selvedge is about one inch wide in repp weave. -
